CHS' Kristen Gasaway, MCHS' Logan Sykes earn athletes of week honors

We have new winners in this week's ahtletes of the week in Clarksville.

On the girls side, Clarksville soccer standout Kristen Gasaway captured the most votes, piling up 191 of a total 418 votes to claim girls athlete of the week for Sept. 2-7.

Gasaway scored a pair of goals in the Lady Wildcats' win against Station Camp. West Creek volleyball's Sinalynn Roberts finished with the second-most votes (83). .

Montgomery Central quarterback Logan Sykes took home boys athlete of the week with 239 of 712 votes. Sykes led the Indians with 11 carries for 108 yards and a touchdown in Central's loss to Portland.

Kenwood's Jaylen Washington came in second place with 189 total votes while West Creek's Ti'Anthony Wagner finished third with 185 votes.
