The Franklin County Rebelettes lost to the St. Andrew’s-Sewanee Lady Mountain Lions in five sets on the road Monday for their 15th loss of the season.
The Rebelettes took a 2-1 lead at the halfway point of the match before a late rally from the Lady Mountain Lions led to the loss.
The first set was a close one with the Lady Mountain Lions winning by a score of 25-20.
The Rebelettes fought back to tie the match in the second set as they picked up a win by a margin of 25-22.
The third set would feature the highest margin of victory as the Rebelettes won 25-18 to take a one-set lead.
The Lady Mountain Lions rallied back to tie the match once again as they took the fourth set by a score of 25-20.
The shortened fifth set would be close once again with the Lady Mountain Lions clinching the set and the match by a margin of 15-11.
With the loss, the Rebelettes moved to 4-15 on the season.
They will next play Tuesday at home against St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School. The match is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
