Carter football coach Scott Meadows was one of three people ejected from a game against Central on Friday, according to a TSSAA officials report from the contest.

Senior Central wide receivers Eunique Valentine and Isaiah Osborne were also ejected. Central coach Bryson Rosser confirmed to the News Sentinel on Monday the school will appeal the ejections of both players.

Meadows was ejected with 1:36 left in Carter's 30-10 loss as a result of his second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

"Carter had already been issued three sideline warnings with the third being charged as an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty to head coach therefore he was ejected for his second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty," the report said.

Meadows will miss Carter's (3-5, 1-3 2-5A) game against Gibbs (5-3, 2-2) on Friday and will be fined $250, according to TSSAA bylaws. Meadows has not returned calls seeking comment.

Valentine was ejected with 11:31 left in the third quarter for his second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Osborne was ejected with 8:34 left in the fourth quarter for the same reason. Both will miss Central's (8-0, 4-0) game against South-Doyle (6-2, 4-1) on Friday unless the TSSAA grants their appeal.

Osborne is second on Central's team in receiving touchdowns with five, and he had a 73-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on Friday. Valentine is second on the team in sacks with 4.5.
