Not only did the Chattanooga Christian School football team make history by hosting their first playoff game, the Chargers made history by winning their first home playoff game. CCS rushed for 426 yards to beat Christian Academy of Knoxville 42-10.
CCS used the one two punch of Traveon Scott and Jamichael Baxter in their ground attack. Scott scored three times and finished with 174 yards on 12 rushes. He scored on big play runs of 46, 70 and 30 yards.
Baxter had 21 rushes for 139 yards and scored twice on runs of three and one yard.
CAK quarterback Ryan Degges was 13 of 30 attempts and 173 yards.
He had one touchdown pass.
CCS advances to play Christ Presbyterian Academy (5-6) in Nashville next Friday.
