Wrestling – Franklin High School Tri-Meet (Nolensville, Clarksville)

The Nolensville wrestling team stole the show at Franklin High School’s first alumni night Thursday.

The Knights, coached by former Rebel standout Josh Peck, battled past the hosts 55-22 and also tipped Clarksville and another former Rebel grappler and coach in Tommy Badon, 45-33.

Senior McKinley Wagner posted two pins in the tri-meet for Nolensville in the 220-pound weight class. Junior Kayden Walker (138) also had two falls.

The Rebels fell 52-29 against Clarksville.

Fairview edges Page at home

The Fairview grapplers edged Page 33-30 in a tri-meet at Fairview High School Thursday.

After wins by Riley Bennett (145) and Malachi Bennett (152) pulled the Yellow Jackets to a 30-30 tie, Biff Curtis battled to a 7-6 decision over Page’s Seth Wright in the final match to clinch the victory.

Both teams defeated East Robertson with Fairview winning 78-6 and Page taking a 57-22 victory.

Indy takes two at Antioch, Summit splits 

Independence picked up a couple wins in a double dual at Antioch High School.

The Eagles claimed a 54-18 win against the host Bears and edged Overton 38-35.

Summit topped Antioch 66-12 and fell against the Bobcats 45-34.

Brentwood splits in tri-meet at Dickson Co. 

Brentwood spilt in tri-meet at Dickson County. The Bruins tipped the hosts Cougars 60-24, but fell 38-30 against Rossview.

Zach Ordonez earned two wins by pin at 106, while Christian Schaub added two wins as well.
