Knox News All-PrepXtra volleyball team for 2019
FIRST TEAM
All members of the Knox News All-PrepXtra volleyball first team are nominees for the player of the year. The winner will be announced May 27 at the fourth annual Knox News Sports Awards presented by Farm Bureau Health Plans.
Alexa Austin
The King's Academy, Jr.
Position: Middle hitter
Why chosen: Austin recorded 319 kills, 53 blocks and 49 aces and led The King's Academy to the Division II-A state tournament for the second time in school history.

The King's Academy, Jr.
Position: Setter
Why chosen: Greene was named the region MVP and recorded 763 assists, 308 digs and 44 blocks.

Cassie Kuerschen

Position: Libero
Why chosen: The Tennessee commitment helped lead Catholic to the Division II-AA state championship match. This season she recorded 516 digs, 103 assists and 76 aces.

Lauren Loveday
Farragut, Sr.
Position: Outside hitter
Why chosen: Loveday recorded 479 kills, 406 digs, 113 total blocks and 75 aces and led Farragut to the Class AAA state sectionals, where the Lady Admirals lost to Daniel Boone in five sets.

Position: Outside hitter
Why chosen: McMurray had 536 kills, 343 digs, 49 blocks, 48 aces and led Anderson County to the Class AA state tournament for the first time since 2008.

Why chosen: The Lipscomb signee recorded 467 kills, 374 aces and 197 blocks.

Why chosen: Profeta recorded 136 kills, 44 blocks, 30 aces and led Concord Christian to the Division II-A state championship game.

Why chosen: Sulish led Concord Christian the Division II-A state championship game for the second straight season. She registered 310 kills, 130 digs and 39 aces.
