Knox News All-PrepXtra girls soccer team for 2019
The first eight members of the Knox News All-PrepXtra girls soccer first team are nominees for the player of the year. The winner will be announced May 27 at the fourth annual Knox News Sports Awards presented by Farm Bureau Health Plans.
FIRST TEAM
Ashton Blair
Central, Sr.
Position: Goalie
Why chosen: The East Tennessee State commitment was named MVP of District 4-AA and Region 2-AA with 117 saves, seven shutouts and also scoring three goals.

Reyna Coston
Maryville, Sr.
Position: Midfielder
Why chosen: Coston was an all-district and all-region selection and led Maryville with 31 goals and nine assists.

Delana DeBusk
Greeneville, Sr.
Position: Forward
Why chosen: DeBusk led Greeneville to its third state championship with 23 goals and 10 assists. She scored five goals and one assist in the Class AA state tournament.

Hardin Valley, Sr.
Position: Midfielder
Why chosen: The Charleston Southern signee was named all-district and all-region, recording 14 goals and nine assists.

Position: Forward
Why chosen: Murphy led Bearden in goals with 18 and was tied second in assists with six.

Oak Ridge, Sr.
Position: Forward
Why chosen: The Maryville College commitment was named all-district and all-region and recorded 15 goals and nine assists.

Oak Ridge, Sr.
Position: Forward
Why chosen: Peters was named all-district and all-region and led Oak Ridge in goals with 21. She also had six assists.

Hardin Valley, Sr.
Position: Defender
Why chosen: The Tennessee Wesleyan signee was named the District 4-AAA defender of the year and helped Hardin Valley post 10 shutouts.

Why chosen: Cunningham helped Maryville post 14 shutouts and allow less than one goal a game.

Greeneville, Sr.

Why chosen: Finchum scored two goals in the Class AA state championship game against Nolensville, which Greeneville won 2-1. She scored 16 goals and had four assists.

Why chosen: Inman helped lead Powell to the Class AAA sectionals and helped Powell record eight shutouts.
