Wrestling – Centennial at Independence

Dylan Ables vs. Timothy Ford

The Centennial wrestling team posted a 53-18 district win at Summit on Thursday.

The Cougars trailed 18-6 through six matches, but back-to-back pins from Dylan Ables (120) and Jackson Wynne-Dossat (126) tied the match and Centennial produced three pins and three decisions wins the rest of the way.

Ables was coming off a third-place showing at Wilson Central’s Bussey-Dickeson Invitational last weekend. Wynne-Dossat was second at the tournament where Centennial closed third overall.

With a busy weekend of high school wrestling looming for Williamson County grapplers, here's a look back at the Johnny Drennan Memorial Invitational held Jan. 4-5, 2020 at Father Ryan High School, which included a ninth place showing by Brentwood and a tournament title from senior Skylar Coffey.
