The Nolensville wrestling team captured a third consecutive Region 3 A-AA championship Thursday.

The Knights, runners-up in state duals in Class A-AA last year, will head back to the state stage next week after a 67-9 victory over Watertown at Nolensville High School.

The Knights had seven wrestlers win by pin and a pair of others take victories by technical fall Thursday.

The state duals begin Feb. 7 at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center in Franklin. Other Williamson County teams competing include Fairview in A-AA and both Centennial and Independence in Class AAA.

The Cougars edged Indy 36-30 Thursday to win the Region 7-AAA crown for a second consecutive year. Centennial tipped the Eagles for fourth place at state in 2019.
