Editor's note: This story has been corrected to reflect that Jimmy Colquitt is the nephew of Craig Colquitt. Jimmy Colquitt and Craig's sons, Britton and Dustin, are cousins.

Dustin Colquitt is a Super Bowl champion.

The Kansas City Chiefs punter, a Knoxville native who played at Bearden and Tennessee, will become the third member of his family to claim a Super Bowl ring after the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 on Sunday in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Colquitt averaged 50 yards on his two punts, one of which went into the end zone. He also served as the holder four Harrison Butker's four extra points and 31-yard field goal.

Colquitt finished his 15th season as the Chiefs' punter after he was selected in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played for the Vols from 2001-04.

Colquitt's father, Craig, won two Super Bowls punting for the Pittsburgh Steelers. His younger brother, Britton, won a Super Bowl ring with the Denver Broncos. Britton also was on a Broncos team that lost a Super Bowl.

Craig and Britton also punted for UT. Britton is now with the Minnesota Vikings. Craig's nephew, Jimmy Colquitt, also punted for UT and in the NFL.

The Vols were ensured of a Super Bowl champion because former UT cornerback Emmanuel Moseley plays for the 49ers. He was in the starting lineup Sunday and made five tackles during the game.

Moseley played for Tennessee from 2014-17.

Moseley had an interception in San Francisco's 37-20 victory over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC championship game.

This is the 10th straight year that at least one former Tennessee player was on the roster of a team in the Super Bowl. Former Vol Jalen Hurd, who finished his career at Baylor, is also on the 49ers, but he spent the season on injured reserve.
