The Franklin County Rebelettes beat the Lincoln County Lady Falcons 37-26 on the road Tuesday in the quarterfinals of their district tournament.
The Rebelettes built an early lead and maintained it for the rest of the day as they pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the hosting Lady Falcons.
The Rebelettes allowed just six points in the opening period as they jumped out to an early advantage.
They led 13-6 after one quarter.
The Lady Falcons remained limited on offense in the second quarter as the Rebelettes continued to play strong defense.
They led 20-12 at halftime.
The Rebelettes were slowed on offense in the third quarter which gave the Lady Falcons a chance to chip away at the deficit.
Franklin County led 24-19 going into the final period.
However, the Rebelettes found their offensive rhythm again in the fourth quarter as they went on to win by 11 points. Eight of the 13 points scored by the Rebelettes in the fourth quarter came via free throws.
Ashtin Holman led the Rebelettes with 12 points for the game, followed by Macy Pittenger with six points and Katie Walker with five.
Lucy Barnes scored four points, Destiny Russell scored three, Hannah Escalon, Heidi Seay and Rylan Wolkonowski scored two points each, and Angela Tarrant scored one point.
With the win, the Rebelettes improved to 9-15 on the season.
They will next play Friday against Coffee County Central High School at Lincoln County in a semifinal game for their district tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
