It’s season time for the Livingston Academy boys soccer team, and Head Coach David Sadler, along with Assistant Coach Steve Huntley, has big shoes to fill.
The boys have been preparing for their first game on Thursday, March 12 at Macon County High School, and after their playday at Rhea County, Coach Sadler said, “The teams to watch out for in our district are Stone Memorial and Upperman.”
With that being said, the Wildcats are scheduled to take on Upperman on Saturday, March 14, in Baxter.
Coach Sadler is very confident in his team’s offense and said he hopes to put up big scores this season.
He believes seniors Tee Beaty, Tanner Hall, and Gavin Milligan work well together along with Camen Howard and Westyn Clouse on the offensive side, but he is also confident in his defensive lineup saying, “We are solid defensively with Mitchell Watson and Zakary Oliver in the middle, and Matthew Storie, Braedon Linder, and Judd Copeland in the back line with Nathan Cowgill in the goal.
“The makeup of our team is our speed, aggression, and ball control.”
Seniors on the team are Tee Beaty, Gavin Milligan, Tanner Hall, Riley Butler, and Zakary Oliver. The juniors are Lane Danner, Mitchell Watson, Camen Howard, Judd Copeland, and Om Solanki.
Sophomores Matthew Storie, Braedon Linder, Douglas Nelson, Kade Cooper, Camden Storie, Andrew Poston, Braidon Freeman, Westyn Clouse, Dylan Woodall, Matthew Wilson, and Jake Collins make up the majority of the 26-player team followed by freshmen Gus Sells, Jackson Baker, Nathan Cowgill, Nathan Bechler, and Nate Rose.
