The Tennessee high school girls and boys basketball state tournaments are postponed for the foreseeable future over concerns about the coronavirus.

However, we've chosen to take a look at the season to date while we wait to see if conditions improve enough to resume the tournaments.

So here's a look at the 2019-20 girls basketball season and bold predictions for next season.

Best game

Page 48, Brentwood 46, Feb. 24. The Patriots avenged their two regular-season losses with a win in the District 11-AAA championship game. The teams combined for 15 3-pointers. It marked Page's first Class AAA league title in its three seasons in the state's largest classification. McKenzie Cochran had 15 points for Page and Delaney Noe hit four 3-pointers for 12 points. Brentwood's Amelia Osgood scored 31 points, which included six 3-pointers.

Biggest surprise

Maplewood (31-6). The Lady Panthers reached the Class AA state tournament for the first time since 1980 after reaching the region semifinals last year. Junior Larose Morrow led the team with 17.8 points, 5.5 steals and 5.5 assists.

Cinderella team

Lebanon (31-6). Lebanon reached its second straight Class AAA state tournament as coach Cory Barrett dealt with the death of his dad the day before the Region 5-AAA tournament tipped off and then tornadoes came through Wilson County on March 3.

Best moments

Ensworth finishes undefeated. The Lady Tigers went 29-0 and won their second straight Division II-AA state championship, beating rival Brentwood Academy 73-53. Led by two-time Miss Basketball winner Dontavia Waggoner, Ensworth finished ranked 10th nationally by MaxPreps.

Lamar Rogers' record. Rogers, who has coached at his alma mater Clarkrange for 43 years, became the state's all-time winningest girls basketball coach. He passed former Bradley Central coach Jim Smiddy with a victory over Pickett County for win No. 1,218.

He has 1,243 wins following an 80-36 win over Huntingdon in the Class A state quarterfinals.

Macon County's first Miss Basketball. Keeley Carter, a Trevecca signee, won the Class AA honor. Carter averaged 16.5 points, seven rebounds and 3.8 assists.
