Adonai Mitchell, a Texas high school transplant who played his senior season at Cane Ridge, has committed to Ole Miss.

Mitchell chose to the Rebels over Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Virginia Tech.

Mitchell, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound wide receiver, said he chose to reclassify to the Class of 2021 in an effort to spend next season working out to be prepared to play his freshman year.

Mitchell is the No. 58 wide receiver for the 2021 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He had 28 catches for 417 yards with five touchdowns. That came after starting the season at quarterback because of an injury to quarterback Xayvion Clemmons, who missed the first two weeks of the season.

Mitchell's family moved to Nashville from Texas prior to the season. Mitchell said he would return to Texas in the fall to work out and sign in December.

Mitchell is the seventh Nashville area FBS commitment for the Class of 2021, and fourth among the top-10 in the 247Sports Composite.

Those four include top recruit Jake Briningstool of Ravenwood, who has committed to Clemson; Ensworth's Andre Turrentine, the No. 3 prospect who has committed to Ohio State and Brentwood Academy's Eli Sutton, the No. 4 prospect, who has committed to North Carolina.
