Brycen Hopkins, son of former Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Brad Hopkins, was picked with the 136th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams.

The pick sends a second former Nashville area high school football standout to the Rams. Ravenwood alum Van Jefferson was picked in the second round on Friday by the team.

Hopkins, a former Purdue tight end, was a standout at Ensworth. He had 130 catches for 1,945 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Boilermakers. He was a co-captain his senior year at Purdue.

Hopkins, a 6-foot-4, 245-pound athlete, was a three-star prospect for the Class of 2015. He was the No. 44 overall recruit in the state according to the 247Sports Composite.

Hopkins had 11 catches for 247 yards in 2014 during his senior season at Ensworth, which finished 10-2 that year and made its fifth straight Division II-AA state championship game.
