Bradley's Cambree Mayo Signs With Tennessee Wesleyan University

Cambree Mayo of Bradley Central High School has signed a letter of intent to play college basketball at Tennessee Wesleyan University for the 2020-21 season.

 

Mayo was a four-year letter winner on the varsity team of the Bearettes appearing in 128 games while making 50 starts in her four years, including all 33 games her senior season.

Mayo scored 597 career points and pulled down 264 rebounds in the process. She proved unselfish on the floor dishing out 195 assists and had 189 steals on the defensive end.

 

The sharpshooting guard shot for a career .320 (116-for-362) average from beyond the arc while going 175-for-501 (.349) overall. Mayo was a career .655 (131-for-200) shooter from the free-throw line. She was a member of the Bearette's 2019 Tennessee Class 3A state championship team.

 

In her senior season Mayo stepped up as a leader, putting together a string of game career-highs in her final campaign. The Tennessee Wesleyan commit poured in a career-high 24 points and pulled down another career-high seven rebounds in the region final against Stone Memorial, including five 3-pointers, and nine free-throws. In the region quarterfinals, Mayo came up on the defensive end of the ball coming up with six steals and ended her career against cross-county rival Walker Valley with six assists.

 

Mayo wrapped up her high school years as a Bear Scholar and is graduating in the top 10 percent of her class and intends to major in occupational therapy and minor and health science at Tennessee Wesleyan.
