Grace Academy high school girls had their season opener against CSLA Last night. The Lady Golden Eagles started their season off right with a 67-17 win over the CSLA eagles. Sophomore, Sophie Ibrahim and Senior, Taylor Adams were high scorers totaling 16 points a peace. The Lady Golden Eagles started their lineup with freshman guard, Rebecca Dean who tallied up 5 points for her high school debut. Following that, Sophomore, Mattox Hollingsworth clinched a total of 13 points. Senior, Gabby Adams had 10 points and led the team with 4 assists. Grace Academy had a very nice defensive strategy that forced a lot of turnovers and deflections for CSLA. Gabby Adams led the team in steals and really sped up the tempo for the Lady Golden Eagles. “I’m super proud of our kids for their effort and resilience defensively. We are really learning to take pride in our defense and learn that it will win us games”, says Coach Cummings. “It’s going to be a fun season for us. I am beyond excited to continue to watch our girls grow both on Ana off the court”, says Cummings.
