Chester County Basketball played in their first games of the season before Thanksgiving Week.
The girls were the only team to play in the home-opener against Trinity Christian Academy due to TCA’s boys team forfeiting. The solo performance by the girls was one that could get the Chester County Basketball fans excited for the season. The CCHS girls started the game with ten points that the TCA Lions could not respond to and entered halftime with a 24-7 lead. At the end, the Eaglettes defeated TCA 48-39 giving their season a 1-0 start.
Unfortunately, when they took on Huntingdon’s tough team on Saturday for game two, they had a hard loss of 78-48.
The Eagles were able to win against Huntingdon though in their first game. Multiple threes in the first quarter helped give them a 15-9 lead at the end of the quarter. The Huntingdon Mustangs started leading 23-17 with 3:52 left in the first half, but Chester County was able to take the lead back and enter the locker rooms at halftime winning 30-22.
In the end of the game, the Mustangs slowly crept on the Eagles’ lead, but Chester County held on to it and left victorious 53-46.
