Ways to Support the Rebels, Attend the Game

McKENZIE (November 27) — For the third consecutive year, the McKenzie High School Rebels football team is headed back to Chattanooga to the Division I Class 1A State Championship. This year, the team is defending their title against the South Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday, December 1, at 3 p.m. EST (2 p.m. CST) at Finley Stadium.

There is a Pep Rally on Wednesday, November 29 at the McKenzie High School gym at 7:30 p.m. McKenzie schools will be CLOSED on Friday so students can attend the game.

To purchase tickets to the game, use the following link https://gofan.co/event/1052092 make sure to choose McKenzie and if you purchase tickets by Wednesday, November 29, McKenzie High School gets a larger percentage of the proceeds.

Want to attend the game, but don’t want to drive? The McKenzie Touchdown Club has chartered a bus for fans needing a ride to Chattanooga. It will leave McKenzie High School at 8 a.m. on Friday, December 1. The cost is $35. First come, first serve, no holds. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Payment can be made at Stafford Real Estate during normal business hours.

Tired of all the holiday cooking? Local restaurants are donating portions of their sales this week to the McKenzie Rebels state bid. Participating restaurants are:

Monday-Wednesday: Old West Steakhouse

Tuesday: Block City Pizza

Wednesday 5 p.m.-8 p.m.: Sonic

Thursday: Hometown Hangout
