The Henry County swim team has competed in two meets thus far this season.
The first meet was Oct. 28 at Ensworth High School in Nashville, and the other Nov. 11 at Hopkinsville High School in Kentucky.
At the Ensworth meet, there were 12 teams from Middle Tennessee competing. Olivia Hart gained her state qualifying times in the 50 free and 100 free. Four swimmers made their region qualifying times. They are Audrey Hill (100 free/100 back), Kyleigh Miller (50 free/100 free), Emma Dotson (50 free/100 breast) and Turner McSwain (100 fly/100 breast).
At the Rick Cohn Invitational in Hopkinsville, there were also 12 teams competing from western Kentucky. The Henry County girls placed third and the boys placed sixth. Overall as a team, they placed fourth with only eight swimmers.
Hart gained another state time in the 200 individual medley. The women’s relay consisting of Hart, Hill, Miller and Ava Higgins placed third in the 200 medley and 200 free relays.
