Why Aidan Glover signed with Missouri and why he paid tribute to Dion Stutts

For The Commercial Appeal

The Commercial Appeal asked Collierville senior Aidan Glover to say in his own words why he chose Missouri.

Here is what Glover wrote to The Commercial Appeal:

First off, I am beyond blessed to be able to have the opportunity to play football at the next level. Without my prayer, my family, and my coaches I would have not been able to make it to this point.

I chose Mizzou because I wanted to pick a place where I could grow into the best version of myself. The coaching staff has created an environment that develops players like me to not only become better athletes, but also better men. I wanted to pick a place that was not too far from home, but also far enough so I can learn to be more independent.

Also, I fell in love with the city of Columbia when I first arrived. It’s a smaller town that is completely centered around the college and I love that. I wanted a place that revolves around the school and the football team.

Finally, I chose Mizzou because my best friend who tragically passed this summer, Dion Stutts, was committed the the University of Arkansas and wanted to play against me in the infamous rivalry game. We both had dreams of playing football in the SEC and then meeting each other in the NFL. Now it’s my responsibility to make it happen for the both of us!

And that’s why I picked the University of Missouri!
