Between district championships, region openers and even some state tournament qualifies, last week was a busy week for the basketball scene in Middle Tennessee.

Large Class teams include 4A, 3A, and Division II-AA. Small Class teams include 2A, 1A, and Division II-A.

Rankings are based on overall success current form for each teams. While teams may have beaten each other earlier in the season, we look at the current form of teams compared to each other.

With that in mind, here’s a look at this week’s 615 Preps large and small class girls rankings:

Large Class

1. Clarksville (28-0): The Lady Wildcats won their third consecutive district title early in the week beating Rossview 51-28 before beating West Creek for 56 in their region tournament opener. Imari Berry scored 59 points between the two wins en route to becoming Clarksville’s all-time leading scorer.

2. Hillsboro (20-4): Keeping Gallatin scoreless for much of the first half, the Lady Burros cruised in their region tournament opener 57-27.

3. Lebanon (23-8): A second half collapse saw the Devilettes lose to Cookeville 51-36 in the District 7-4A championship. They rebounded a few days later opening the region tournament with a 66-39 win over Rockvale.

4. Sycamore (22-6): The Lady War Eagles faced a stiffer test against McNairy Central than many likely expected. They were able to pull out a 47-38 win over the visiting Lady Bobcats.

5. Hendersonville (19-8): With a 44-40 win over Beech, the Lady Commandos made history winning their first district title since 1995. They carried that momentum into a 56-22 win over McGavock a few days later.
