Henry County High School four-year soccer stalwart Brian Belong has picked his college program.

Belong will be playing soccer at Blue Mountain Christian University in Blue Mountain, Miss. He announced the signing Feb. 21.

Belong is the son of Christy Belong and Brian Belong.

He was a member of the Patriots squad that was the first in school history to win a district championship (in 2022). The club responded with a follow-up championship in 2023 as well.

Belong was a leader for HCHS when the school made it to the regional finals for the first time.

He was selected as a member of the District 14-3A all-tournament team in 2023.

“High school soccer has definitely impacted my life in many ways,” Belong said. “Soccer has taught me the importance of not only working and getting better as an individual but also as a team.

“It has also taught me to be a leader not only on the field but off the field as well, helping my friends and teammates make the right decisions and become better players and people.”

Belong plans to major in sports management at Blue Mountain.
