Cloudland captured a county win on Thursday afternoon.
The Lady ‘Landers picked up a 17-4 win over Hampton Thursday.
Cloudland jumped out to a 7-0 lead after an inning of play and added a run in the second and two more in the third to take a 10-0 lead into the bottom of the third.
Hampton, however, battled back with a run in the home side of the third and one more in the fourth.
After CHS added a run in the top of the fifth, Hampton plated two more in the bottom of the fifth to cut the CHS lead to 11-4 after five complete.
The Lady ‘Landers left no doubt in the final inning with six runs.
Bethany Sluder was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Saharra McKinney, Ryan Turbyfill, and Layken Blair had two RBI for CHS.
In the pitching circle, Reagan Turbyfill allowed one earned run on six hits with 10 strikeouts.
Mallory Lamb went 2-for-3 to lead Hampton, while Hannah Smith, Maleah Scalf, Lacie Smith, and Lauren Smith each added a hit.
