The Trousdale County High School softball team traveled to Sparta on March 13 and came up with a 17-2 win over the 3A Warriorettes. The Lady Jackets took a 7-2 lead into the last inning, then added 10 more runs.

Kayleigh Dunn went four of six at the plate with three RBI and two runs scored. Cayden Ray picked up three hits, including a grand slam home run and seven runs batted in. Maddie Lee added three hits and a home run. Emma Holder also had three hits, while Aubrie Wemple and Mary Linville followed with two each. Bailey Hines achieved one hit.

Lee garnered the win at the circle, as she recorded seven strikeouts while giving up three hits and two walks.

With the win, the Hartsville girls improved to 2-1 for the season.

The Lady Jackets will return to action Tuesday when they host Westmoreland for their first District 6-2A game. On Thursday, they will have another district game with their first trip to Liberty Creek.
