The Loudon High School baseball team started off District 5-3A play on the right foot as they bested South-Doyle 7-5 on March 18 at South-Doyle High School and followed that win up with a 17-10 victory on March 19 on Bill Thomson Field.

In the first matchup against the Cherokees, Loudon fell behind 2-0 in the first inning but fought back — pushing runs across in the top of the third and fourth. The Redskins managed to break the tie in the top of the fifth inning, scoring off field errors and a sacrifice groundout.
