The York Institute Dragons closed out their week in the win column Friday night as they defeated the Clay County Bulldogs in non-district baseball action, 16-1.
York posted 12 of their 16 runs in the second inning in the victory.
Pitcher Brody Choate and left fielder Ethan Haley recorded 3 RBIs each to lead the Dragons. Haley went 2-3 with twin runs scored and a double while Choate went 1-2 with a double and two runs scored.
The Dragons improved to 10-9 overall following Thursday’s 17-2 victory over Jackson County and Friday’s win over Clay County. York is scheduled play at Watertown on Monday while Clay County is set to host Westmoreland.
