The Tullahoma High School softball team beat Marshall County 10-5 and followed it up by beating Shelbyville 12-10.
The Lady ‘Cat bats were hot at Marshall County, they tallied 15 hits. Six different players had multi-hit games. Kylee Holt led the team with three hits, including a double. Madison Goad, Kaitlynn Gattis, Brinley Gillam, Sara Tate and Elizabeth Simpson recorded two hits each. Goad racked up six RBI on her two homerun day. Her sixth inning blast was a grand slam. Both of Gattis’ hits were extra base hits, one a double and the other a two run homer. Tate also had a pair of extra base hits, she laced a pair of doubles. Tullahoma only walked once and that was taken by Gillam.
Amaya Sharp threw the complete game in just 87 pitches, 52 of them for strikes. She struck out one batter and only walked three.
The Lady Wildcats offense was impressive again when they hosted Shelbyville, recording 15 hits and walking three times. Again, six ‘Cats had multiple hits. Holt and Addye Norman had three hits each. Goad, Tate, Miaha Johnson and Aleigha Raby had two hits. Goad homered again, this time it was an inside the park homerun. She also lined a double into left. Norman had the other extra base hit for Tullahoma with a two RBI double in the fifth. Tate, Johnson and Goad each had three RBI. Gillam led the team with a pair of base on balls. Gattis drew the other walk.
Gattis started the game in the circle for Tullahoma and went four innings. She threw 96 pitches. AC Holloway finished the game for the Lady Wildcats giving up just one run in the final three innings. She threw 54 pitches, 33 for a strike. Holloway struck out three and walked two.
The Lady ‘Cats host Central Magnet Thursday for the last home game on the schedule. The game will start at 5:30.
