The Tennessee Titans added to the defense for a third straight pick by selecting Louisville cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. with the No. 146 overall pick in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft on Saturday.

Brownlee played two seasons at Louisville after transferring from Florida State. He recorded 18 pass breakups in his two seasons as Louisville, playing outside corner and in the slot.

Here's how the Tennessean grades the Titans' fifth-round pick:

Tennessee Titans No. 146 overall pick grade

The grade: B-plus

Why? Again, a solid, necessary depth add and a potential Year 1 role. At worst, Jarvis Brownlee Jr. should play all special teams as a rookie. At best, Brownlee can push for snaps as a slot defender who is not afraid to be aggressive. Brownlee has good ball skills (six interceptions in his career along with 18 pass breakups over the last two seasons) and could play in certain matchups.
