ELIZABETHTON — Gate City’s baseball team trailed by three runs to start the fifth inning, but back-to-back doubles changed things quickly.
Jackson Jones doubled in two runs to tie the score, before Brayden Cox hit the go-ahead RBI double as the Blue Devils defeated University High 6-4 at Northeast Community Credit Union Ballpark Monday night.
Eli McMurray and Dakoda McMurray both singled twice for Gate City, Dakoda earning the win after striking out four in five innings of work. Brycen Steele struck out three in the last two frames to get the save.
Cooper Stevenson went 3-for-4 to lead the Buccaneers.
Union 3, Wise Central 1
BIG STONE GAP — Despite collecting just four hits, the Bears pushed across one run in the fifth and sixth innings to take the lead for good. Kam Bishop (2-for-3) and Keith Chandler both doubled, and Aidan Lane scored twice.
Collyn Neff struck out 10 in 6 1/3 innings of work to get the win, before Bishop recorded the save.
Cayden Hayes (double) and Nate West (triple) both went 2-for-3 for the Warriors.
Lee High 6, Harlan County (Ky.) 3
BEN HUR — Konnor Early went 2-for-4 with a triple, and Cayden Tickner singled twice for the Generals, who broke a 3-3 tie with a three-run fifth inning.
Virgil Hobbs, who had a pair of RBIs, went 5 2/3 innings to get the win, striking out four.
Eastside 19, Honaker 9
COEBURN — J McCoy (6 RBIs) and Clay Ward (double, 5 RBIs) both went 4-for-4 to lead the Spartans. A Burke, W Johnson (double) and Tanner Perry had two hits each, and Perry got the win on the mound.
Matt Nunley went 2-for-4 for Honaker.
Daniel Boone 10, Cherokee 0
GRAY — Chandler Justice went 2-for-2 with a double, a triple and three RBIs for the Trailblazers. Brayden Blankenship added a solo home run while Graham Jones (triple, 2 RBIs), Slader Tinker, Ethan Roller and Jackson Utsman all had two hits.
Jaiden Henry was credited the win, as the Trailblazers scattered four hits with six different pitchers.
David Crockett 14, Sullivan East 1
BLUFF CITY — Ronnie Hall and Nate Walters collected three hits apiece for the Pioneers. Jake Fox, A.J. Ford (double), Ayden Mullikin and Nolan Street (double) added two hits apiece.
Mason Grindstaff went 3 1/3 innings to get the win with four strikeouts.
Zach Johnson and Jonah Smith both had two hits for East.

Daniel Boone 3, David Crockett 1
GRAY — Anna Richardson and Sadie Henson hit back-to-back singles with two out in the first inning, pushing across all of the Lady Trailblazers’ runs. Riley Croley went 2-for-2 with a double to lead the way offensively.
Ava Saul and Kaylea Osborne again split duty in the circle. Saul went 4 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts while allowing two hits, with Osborne recording three strikeouts in 2 1/3 frames.
Julie Maupin hit a leadoff double in the fourth and scored for the Lady Pioneers, who got nine strikeouts from Madelyn Dulaney and a 2-for-3 effort from Bailey Dugger.
Science Hill 15, Sullivan East 4
JOHNSON CITY — Maddie Diamond hit a three-run homer to cap her explosive day at the plate, finishing 3-for-3 with six RBIs and three runs while finishing a triple shy of the cycle.
Kaylee Oler and Lora Wilgus (double, 3 RBIs) both hit 3-for-5, while Beth Pridemore and Reagan Carroll added two hits apiece.
Madalyn Kelley struck out three over the first three innings to get the win.
Addison Holly doubled twice, and Raquel Del Prete batted in two runs for the Lady Patriots.

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Carly Compton pitched a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a three-run bomb for the Lady Vikings. Maddisyn Hall went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs, with Addie Wilhoit and Katy Granger (double) adding two hits.

CLINCHPORT — Kylee Castle, Aliyah Davidson (double, 2 RBIs) and Keelie Sutphin (2 RBIs) collected two hits apiece for the Lady Bears in Monday’s makeup game.
Ava Collinsworth went four innings and got the win, striking out two with four hits allowed.
Braelyn Strouth went 3-for-4 with a double for the Lady Wolfpack, while MaKinley Owens singled twice.
Eastside 9, Richlands 4
COEBURN — Jada Jordan (3 RBIs), Emma Sartin (double) and Emmaleigh Banks (double) all had two hits for the Lady Spartans.
Sartin fanned eight batters and scattered six hits over five innings for the win.
J.I. Burton 7, Castlewood 3
NORTON — Jordan Mooney pitched a two-hitter for the Lady Raiders, striking out 14 in the win.
Jordan Frazier hit a solo home run and finished 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs. Mackayla McCurdy, Shay Henderson and Savannah Adams had two hits apiece.
Jozy Phillips hit an RBI double for Castlewood.

EWING — Calyn Seal pitched a three-inning perfect game for the Lady Indians, while Cylee Seal doubled twice with four RBIs.

BEN HUR — Bryson Smith grabbed three saves and posted his ninth clean sheet of the season Monday night.
Alex Smith had one goal and one assist, while Alex Eastman and Walker Hillman each found the back of the net once. An own goal by the Generals accounted for the other score.

BEN HUR — Bekah Reid completed a hat trick for the Lady Blue Devils, and Georgia Griffis dished out three assists. Emma Reed, Abigail Tate and Aubrey Smith (one assist) each had one goal, while Madison Tipton tallied two assists.
Erin Hensley made three saves, and Avery Elam one for the combined clean sheet.
