Tennessee rides 11-run frame to run-rule victory over Florida
Tennessee has secured another series win, beating Florida in Saturday’s conclusion of a weekend series in Gainesville. Saturday’s win provided some fireworks, to say the least, with the Vols blasting to a 16-3 win in 7 innings.
Jac Caglianone got the start on the mound for the Gators, and he was even staked to a 3-run lead by his offense. Ty Evans started the scoring with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 1st, and he drove in an unearned run on a throwing error in the bottom of the 3rd.
Unfortunately, Caglianone would be unable to hold that lead, and the Vols would really battle back with 11 runs in a wild 6th inning. At one point, Tennessee was scoring runs without even registering a hit.
That came when Kavares Tears struck out but the ball got away from the Gators. 2 runs scored as the throw down to 1st base also got away.
Not exactly how we drew it up but we’ll happily take it!

If there was an exclamation point needed, Christian Moore and Blake Burke provided it in the 7th inning. The power-hitting duo for the Vols went back-to-back, including a picture-perfect bat drop from Burke as Tennessee cemented its grip securely on the run-rule victory.
No. 21 on the year for C-Mo!!

Hunter Ensley led the Vols with 7 RBI on the day, including a home run of his own. A trio of Vols also finished the game with 2 RBI in the blowout win.
Tenn is on a roll, they’re looking pretty strong
This UF team is in serious jeopardy of not only missing out on the SEC tournament, but also the grandaddy of them all the NCAA tournament. My the nighty have fallen so far. Started the season ranked top 5. Pitching seems to have done them in this year. I know they are young, but looks as if Sully should have used the transfer portal to acquire an experienced more mature couple of arms. For his rotation.Jac is the only one that they can rely on and five them 5 or more innings of work where they’re still in the he game. Seems as all the freshmen starters I’ve seen especially the FSU games even in many of those UF took the early lead only to see the young arms getting run ruled and even though there are many young pitcher’s no one ever was there to come in and stop the bleeding. They have South Florida on Tuesday.then a series with UK and Georgia to end the season. They pretty much have to win out in order to have any shot of it. With there pitching being so sketch it’s going to be a tall order.
Won’t argue those comments …
Looks like the bats woke up.
Is there any athletic department that has fallen as far as the Gators athletic programs. If it wasn’t for gymnastics the entire program wouldn’t be worth watching . It starts with Stricklin. Napier is totally unqualified to be a head coach at an SEC school. The basketball program isn’t worth watching and look how far this baseball team has fallen. The fact is all three of the major programs are in the gutter. The baseball coach gets a huge contract extension and then he quits coaching, he’s riding the bench with the rest of the losers on the team. It’s time for Stricklin to go, no if ands or buts about it.
You at the most pathetic troll fake life
What a 3rd inning especially. Go into the 3rd trailing 3-2 and end the third up 11-3. It’s a tight race for the regular season championship.
