ROUNDUP: Cloudland beats Hancock to earn first-ever sectional berth

ELIZABETHTON — Saharra McKinney had a bases-clearing, walk-off triple to lead Cloudland to a 6-3 win over Hancock County in eight innings. The win in the Region 1-A softball semifinal put the Lady ’Landers in the sectional round for the first time in school history.

Eowyn McCoury had a game-tying in the seventh inning to keep Cloudland’s hopes alive and to send the game into extra innings. Izabella Christman and McKinney each had three hits to lead the Lady ’Landers at the plate.
