SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — For the first time in school history, Providence Academy’s baseball team is headed to the TSSAA state tournament.

The clincher came late Wednesday night, a 9-5 victory at defending state champion Northpoint Christian to sweep the best-of-3 Division II-A state quarterfinal series.
